La Seu d'Urgell
Historic and medieval
It is the capital of l'Alt Urgell region and has more than 12,000 inhabitants. It is situated at an altitude of 700 metres, between the Segre and Valira rivers, which originate in France and Andorra, in the centre of the beautiful Pyrenees.
Its immediate surroundings are beautiful: the landscape, the monuments of the medieval nucleus, the sporting installations of the Segre Olympic Park and many more. The proximity of the Cadí-Moixeró natural parks, the Pyrenees peaks and the various Nordic and Alpine ski stations have converted it into an important tourist, cultural and sporting centre.
